Happy Notes Student Showcase- Naman
Naman is a really hardworking student of mine. In a span of 4 years, mostly of which has been a self taught journey for him, he has been able to get a great grip over the guitar. He reminds me of myself- I loved playing rock right from the get go and I wanted to give him a song by Dream Theater because I knew he would really enjoy playing that! I met Naman 4 years ago when I had gone to conduct a guitar workshop at T Series in Noida. He then contacted me 4 years later and I had completely forgotten about what he looked like because he now looks like an actor in movies. A beautiful soul at heart, my aim is to teach Naman the techniques he requires to play the kind of music that drives him. As a teacher, I believe that I do not have to impose my likeness onto my students. No! That is like saying have this mango because I love this mango and you can have no others! I want to be the teacher that pulls up the student who is lost and helps them get back on track towards rediscovering themselves. Thank you for coming to my life Naman. Your motivation, sincerity, love and cute smile make me really happy and I wish you the very best for what is to come for you in the near future! Hope you enjoy this performance and help share this great talent! Join India's biggest community of musicians on our website- https://happynotesmusic.co/

Happy Notes Student Showcase- Jagrit
I met Jagrit during the first Happy Notes Workshop that happened in September 2023. Apart from his John Lennon look what intrigued me about him was his ability to connect with music at a much deeper level- you know when music starts to impact your life in a positive way. He suffered a heavy accident that caused him to not being able to play fast with the right hand so my job as a teacher was to motivate him to play stuff that was slow and yet soulful. Which is why, we choose Gravity by John Mayer and he told me that he sings too! And he absolutely killed it. Also, glad to have him on board as a part of Happy Notes Team. All the tracks that you are hearing from the concert have been mixed and mastered by him. So if any of you wants to get your tracks mixed and mastered, HE IS YOUR GUY! Grateful to have found a brother in him and his outlook on life inspires me and motivates to keep working so that I get to meet and learn from gems like Jagrit. Love you brother and proud of you! Happy Notes Student Showcase- Yukti
Yukti and I share a beautiful bond that has transcended beyond a student teacher relationship. She found me on Instagram 3 years ago in 2021 and messaged me she wanted to learn from me. That account got hacked and then she must have researched on Facebook and sent me a message in 2022. We connected over Whatsapp and that time she was already playing a few tunes like Stairway to Heaven and I was very touched with the passion she had for music. As time passed by, we both opened up to each other and realized that she had other talents in her as well, apart from guitar playing. Other talents being videography and story telling through film making. As a teacher, my aim was to not only teach her music, but also help her realize that she should do whatever passion he has in life because I NEVER want anyone to have a feeling of REGRET 10 or 20 years down the line. We picked up this tune because she really loves it and I wanted her to enjoy while playing. So to choose her favorite tune was the best way for me to thank her. Loving, curious, humble and beyond everything a great human being, this girl has taught me many things in life and it was because of her nature, I knew I could work with her in the long run and decided to make her a part of the team. Love you dear girl and proud of all that you have achieved at such a young age by yourself with the support of your family and friends. Always believe YOU CAN and I am excited to help you on this musical journey the best way I can. Help us spread and share this talent! Happy Notes Student Showcase- Ruhaan and Jai
Teaching Ruhaan and Jai has been an absolutely wonderful experience for me! The song they performed is an all time classic by Bryan Adams called Run To You. Let me tell you a bit about the both of them :) Ruhaan, is a 10 year old kid and is one of the youngest students of mine. This kid is so passionate about music and the joy I see in his eyes whenever he plays music is the best feeling for me. He has been learning under me for almost a year now and I am so proud of the confident Rockstar he is becoming. Initially, the idea was that I would sing and I am so happy that did not happen because it gave me a chance to discover that not only is Ruhaan a guitarist but an amazing singer too. Kudos to his parents, Mansi and Abhishek, who have supported this kid's talent and I only wish that parents give more chance to their kids to explore their passion apart from studies because it inculcates a lot of things like discipline, confidence, humility and self esteem in kids! Ruhaan, thank you for trusting me dear boy and I am excited to help you explore what you are capable of! Jai, on the other hand is my college super senior and we met on the 1st workshop of Happy Notes on Melodic Soloing. Always eager, curious and smiling, Jai is a gem and a big brother of mine. So glad we met and he trusted me on this journey to help him learn about the depths of music. Like most musicians, Jai also felt stuck on his journey. Learning songs, playing them and teaching them to kids gave him joy but he wanted to explore the depths of music with me. Right now, I am focusing on helping him develop his OWN SOUND on the instrument and how he can bring twists to the already composed songs we hear on the Internet. Thanks again brother for trusting me. This is just the start for you and I know you will go a long way! Hope you like and enjoy this great talent! Happy Notes Student Showcase- Michael Fernandez
What do I say about Michael :) We met 7 years ago, when he visited Piano Man and discovered me playing the guitar. I think there was a connection we had on our first meeting itself. He took my number and the next day messaged me if I took guitar lessons. 7 years back, I did not even know that Happy Notes would come into existence but one thing which always inspired me about Michael was his ability to stay curious at an age where people give up on dreams and passion. I was staying in Naraina at the time he messaged and he stayed very close to my house. So i visited him and gave him the first lesson in 2017. How time flies, it has been 7 years and he has evolved into a confident personality as a musician and I am so proud of him. Our choice of song was based on the fact that he really looks like Gilmour hehe. We were stuck on 2 tunes- Another Brick in the wall and wish you were here. I felt that this tune not only showcased his string bending skills but also the fact that he really really enjoys singing. Some people make you realize that it is not important to be right or wrong but to enjoy whatever you are doing and give it your best shot. Today, I thank him for being an elderly brother, friend and a musician buddy I needed in life and we are just getting started. Hope you like and enjoy this great talent! Happy Notes Student Showcase- Dhruvaksh
Dhruvaksh is an interesting guy I have had the pleasure of teaching and learning so much in return. He came to me in the winter of 23, frustrated, stuck in a rut, playing the same things again and again and with a dying motivation my first task as a teacher was to show him what all is possible with the stuff he already knew. He is really inspired by guitar players who play with fingers and I felt that it would really grow his dying interest into the instrument if I taught him how to play double stops (two note chords) across the fretboard in the key of Cmajor. That resulted in the composition of this tune. He has a creative mind and is curious to learn things and experiment which is something I really love about him. Hope you guys enjoy and support this great talent! Join India's biggest community of musicians on our website- https://happynotesmusic.co/

Happy Notes Student Showcase- Sandy
Sandy messaged me on Instagram asking me if i take personal lessons and that embarked on a beautiful friendship we have shared as a student and teacher for the last 6 months. Look how nervous he was in the beginning but all those nervous energies went away once he started to enjoy the present and went with the flow. Being a teacher himself, I trained Sandy about harmony and about the most basic concepts related to music. I feel that when you teach, it is important to firstly be appreciative of music you are teaching because only then the energy really flows from the teacher to the student. So the first line of action was to teach Sandy music appreciation followed by the usual technique and harmony. Being a rock lover, our choice was based on the fact that there should be a fast guitar solo and Rock you Like A Hurricane By Scorpions was a perfect tune to cover. Hope you enjoy this great talent and support him! Join India's biggest community of musicians on our website- https://happynotesmusic.co/

Happy Notes Student Showcase- Rohit Kapoor
Rohit and I share the same hometown which is Meerut. Being born and brought up in a city where we were not exposed to teachers who could how the path, i felt so fortunate and grateful tha he trusted me to show him the way. Have been teaching him for the past 2 years now and I am extremely proud of his progress. The metalhead who visited me 2 years ago was lost, feeling stuck and feeling low in life. To me, it wasn't about just teaching but also training him to develop a mindset to be curious and accept challenges which is why we decided to do this absolute classic tune by Sir Robben Ford called Freedom. Hope you guys enjoy and this brings a smile to your faces :) Join India's biggest community of musicians on our website- https://happynotesmusic.co/

Happy Notes Student Showcase- Mohak Mehra
Mohak and I have shared a friendship through teaching that goes back a long time. We’ve known each other since college and maybe also competed against each other back in the days! But he did not see me as a competition, rather as a friend whom he trusted to show the path and I tried to do that to the best of my abilities! I’m so proud of you and how far you’ve come in your journey brother. He is a big John Mayer fan which is why I chose the song Slow Dancing in a burning room for him and he played so well 🤩 Keep playing and never stop my brother ❤️ Join India's biggest community of musicians on our website- https://happynotesmusic.co/
